Ceremony

There are so many details that go into weddings. But really, when all is said and done the most important detail of the day is that you are married. Which is why the ceremony is the most important part of the a wedding! :)

I loved our ceremony. I say this after the fact. I was excited to walk down the aisle with my dad and I couldn't wait to see Dan's face at the end of the aisle, but seeing how both Dan and I really don't "excel" at being in front of people- I was a bit nervous about exactly how things would go. Yet, everything was exactly how I wished it to be.

Our faith is so important to Dan and I, so giving praise to God for bringing us together and for his faithfulness was the priority in our ceremony. Our wedding verses were Ruth 1:16-17. We also had both of our Profession of Faith verses read by two of our dear friends.
Music added so much to our ceremony as well. One of my sweetest friends with the greatest voice sang at our wedding. (love you Steph!) She sang "Shine on Us" and "Lord, You Have My Heart" as well as the benediction. The congregation also sang one of our favorite songs, "In Christ Alone." How wonderful it was to stand in the midst of all our friends and family singing this glorious song!

In case you want to feel more like you were at our wedding, click the video to hear one of our songs:

I just love this picture...and my sisters!
They were both running for Kleenex minutes before walking down the aisle.

The walk I have dreamed of since a little girl.

Our ceremony was at the church I was baptized in, I said my
profession of faith in,
the church that we now attend together.

I think I was telling him how heavy my bouquet was. ;)

We were covered with petals!

Our getaway!
